1861 Census«/b» shows the family (wife Harriet, daughters Harriet Lydia and Emma Isabel and son Robert George), living at 93 High St, Chatham and Robert's occupation as "Ruur Rate Collector?"
Also living with he family are Amelia Agnes Inwood aged 15, a niece who is a visitor, and Harriet Sophia Lloyd aged 24, and Lydia Hammond aged 15 both servants. Presumably business was profitable!
«b»1871 Census«/b» shows that the family has not grown in number, his wife is missing, and there is no longer a servant. Robert's occupation is now given as "Refreshment House Keeper". they are living at 248 High St, Chatham.
«b»1881 England Census «/b» shows a Robert Isaac Wilkins whose birth date is given as about «b»1826«/b» living at 242 High St, Chatham and this time his occupation is given as China and Glass Dealer.
Did Robert re-marry? His wife is given as Hannah J.
Living with them is a brother-in-law, Thomas Robinson, an unmarried, 29 year old accountant. Also living with them is 15 year old Lydia Winfield with no description of relationship given.
Although the birth dates do not match this is likely the same Robert Isaac.
