This is also the conclusion of Mansell Upham "What can't be cured must be endured", from the First Fifty Years website mainatined by Delia Robertson
Some researchers believe she was the daughter of Jan van Ceylon, alias Jan Leuij, but this is not proven (Palmkronieke)
In 1698 she appears in the muster rolls (VC 39, page 179) as Elisabeth Jansz van de Caab widow de Jonker recorded with three children, (VC 39, page 179) and in 1700 together with Hendrik Loots, and in the roll compiled in January 1702 they are again listed together with four children (Hendrik Loots &
Lijsbeth Janse van de Caap 4 k, (VC49, page 2) living in the district of Stellenbosch.
Her mother may have been Regina van Rapenberg van Guinea according to the First Fifty Years project.
