  • Notes 
    • Also known as Coetser or Kutzer, from "Seterij by Weenen", son of Wenzeleslaus Kutzer, arrived in 1709 as a soldier, on board the ship «i»Noordhoek«/i». The ship carried several soldiers in service of the VOC, namely one commander, two corporals, two "«i»Hanspassaten«/i»" (meaning unknown), one drummer, 43 bowmen, and 70 soldiers.
      The ship left Wielingen on 17 January 1709 and arrived at the Cape on 2 June 1709.

      He became a Freeburgher in 1714, having already worked for 2 years as a farm servant («i»boerkneg«/i»). For more than 20 years he was a member of the Drakenstein and Stellenbosch «i»Burgerraad«/i» (Council). From 5 May 1733 he was captain of the Stellenbosch and Drakenstein Burger militia.
