      "Re yr family tree - there are a few things I can add about Henry. He d. 3 July, 1902, in Ladysmith, and married 30 Jan, 1894, Alleta Bernhardina Rudolph.
      There was a fourth child Ernest Rudolph born 10 Oct 1901. All four were bapt In Ladysmith - this info. on the children comes from Ben Cillier's «u»Genealogie Van die Afrikaner families in Natal.«/u»"

      In the 1899 Natal Almanac, an H Macpherson is listed in Ladysmith, occupation "Carrier"

      In the Natal Witness for January 11, 1876 he is named as coming 2nd in the Boys Race under 10 years at the New Years sports meet
