    • In the 1871 census she was living at Gravesend with her father and sisters, occupation not stated.

In the 1881 census she was living with her sister Lily and brother in law at 88 High St, Grays, Essex, occupation "Clerk in GP Office, London".

In 1891 she was a lodger at a house in Whitechapel London.

Her niece Louisa wrote "When my sister was about one year old, my father sailed for South Africa, and we went to live in London with a sister of my mother, viz Aunty Fanny. She was single and had a very good billet in London Post Office. She was a very clever person, as in those days women did not go to work in offices as they do today, and she worked there for twenty-one years and got a pension. So we stayed in a house with her until we sailed for South Africa."

She last appears in the 1891 census so probably died before 1891, and is probably the FannyEdney who died in Rochford, Essex in 1900 aged 58
