  PRIVATE James R. Tasker April 15, 1927– July 21, 2011 «tab»«tab»James R. Tasker, 84 of Dubuque died at 5:40 p.m. Thursday, July 21st, 2011 at Bethany Home. According to his wishes there will be no public visitation or services. Burial will be in Cady Cemetery, Wyoming, Iowa at a later date. Leonard Funeral Home & Crematory, 2595 Rockdale Road is in charge of arrangements. He was born on April 15, 1927 in Anamosa, Iowa the son of Robert and Elizabeth (Sutton) Tasker. Jim is a US Army Veteran serving from 1945 to 1951. While serving in Germany he met his wife Johanna Baier and they married on August 31, 1948 in Frankfurt, Germany. He graduated from the University of Dubuque. He worked for Farley & Loetscher for many years and lastly for the Iowa State Employment Office until retirement. He is survived by his wife Johanna of Dubuque, a son Winfried (Jan) Tasker, of St. Peters, Missouri; three grandchildren, Winfried Tasker Jr., Ryan (Shirley) Tasker, and Heidi (Tim) Stokes, and one great grandchild Kieran Stokes, one sister Barbara Saunders of Wyoming, Iowa, and many nieces and nephews.
