Thomson: Robert lawful son of Alexander Thomson Gunner R[oyal] Artillery & Mary Simson was born the 28th of Dec 1816 & baptised the 5th of Jan 1817.
No record of him has been found in any of the census records so it is likely that he died before 1841.
There are over 300 deaths - 13 pages of them - of Robert Thomsons (and that does not include the Thompsons). None of the ones in ANGTS look likely as they are not near Arbroath. As his father was a soldier he could have died anywhere.
