Died in the parish of St Vigeans on the 22 day of April 1854 and that the deceased died of the disease called measles- Sighned John Dorward Also on headstone on Arbroath Abbey that reads: Erected by Aikman Taylor and his wife Catherine Durward in memory of their beloved children Mary died 22 April 1851 (age 11 months) Jemima died 22 April 1855 (age 3-1/2 months) James died 3 April 1864 (aged 3 years) Helen died 11 Feb 1865 (aged 4 months) John died 3 Nov 1865 (age 3 years) The above Aikman Taylor died 5 Jan 1869, aged 37 years Also the above Catherine Durward died 9 Jan 1912, aged 78 years
