    • According to Chloris David, later Chloris Edey:
"... Charlotte Gerogina Knight of George. Grandpa Knight came out from England not with the 12820 Settlers but with the saem 'surge' as I wer e[?] He wasa gold and silversmith and I know very little of him. Also of myy Grandma Knight. Her maiden name wa a Dutch one and every now and again it hovers on the tip of my tongue and I cannot release it. She was of Huguenot and Dutch descent. I only ever heard her name twice and that after bullying Grandmother until she told me. Not a common name but now so far inthe past, I wont worry along trying to recall it. It was a 'round' name with a 'ui' in it. Lokking back I often wonder where Granny's self -conscoiusness and secrecy about family connections arose. Ashamed of Alber M.d. because of him being German -- but Shattered about the Jewish origin. Ashamed of being Dutch descent - one's lack of money had to be kept secret....
