  PRIVATE 1881 Census: Age 14, scholar. The 1881 Censue record was difficult to locate as the name has been transcribed as "Wilkin" not "Wilkins" 1891: not found 1901 Census Now aged 34 and unmarried, Harry was registered on the Royal Navy ship "Thetis" in St Helena as a "member of the crew" but was likely a ships engineer. Died in the sinking of the «i»Aboukir «/i»in North Sea when three ships [the ABOUKIR (1900). HOGUE (1900), CRESSY (1899)] were torpedoed by German Submarine U 9, in North Sea, lat. 52.18 N., long. 3.41 E., 22nd September, 1914. «i»"Wilkins, ERA 1st Cl. Harry, 152465 RN HMS "Aboukir". Killed in action with submarine in North sea, 22nd Sept, 1914. Age 48. Son of Cornelius and Sarah ann Wilkins of Jeys st, Chatham; husband of Cordelia Wilkins, of 173 Luton Rd, Chatham, Kent. 4."
