      Jack Wakefield went to Rondebosch Boys High, served engineering draughtsman's apprenticeship with Cape Town elect. Dept, qualified for Inst. Of Elect. Engs and did 3 years student training with CA Parsons in Newcastle-on-Tyne.
      Then 4 years on Table Bay Power Station construction and 37 years with E.SC in Rhodesia, retired as Chief Engineer in 1978.
