The «b»1901 Scotland Census«/b» finds 24 yr old William back in Edinburgh, this time listed as an Electrical Engineer. He was renting a room at 4 Mertoun Pl, Newington, in the parish of St Michael, Edinburgh, from Elizabeth Bayne (38), who is a single mother of 3 children under the age of 6.
