  PRIVATE Agnes (Aggie) Shearer married John Purves She became the mother of The Rev Hugh Purves, one time Chaplain of Malta. ***** «b»1891 Scotland Census «/b»gives her place of birth as Auchterarder, Perthshire and date 1884. In 1891 her whole family were staying with her uncle «b»William Tasker Lundie«/b» in Edinburgh. The household also included her aunt «b»Catherine Begg«/b» who was newly widowed, and her grandparents who had been evicted from the school master's house in Auchterarder due to the change in the Education Act. Post card from Agnes dated 9 June 1928 from llandudno to Flo [Flora Lundie] who was in Bolton [where her mother's family came from] The next certain location is found in «b»1941«/b» when she [ an Agnes Purvis] signed the death certificate of her aunt Catherine, in Edinburgh.
