    • PRIVATE
    • Farmed at Four Winds, Besters. Later at the Trout Hatchery, King Williamstown

They also lived at Romanslaagte, between Queenstown & Tarkastad for many years. In July of 1965, the van Zyl family visited them for a holiday. Lynda and Ian remember climbing the koppie behind the farmhouse with their Father and Dr. Theron and his kids Aida, Charles and Heinie, as well as Trevor Evans. The mountain was unamed, so we named it Pieterhendriksburg after Dad and Dr. Theron. That was a fabulous holiday but it was so cold! Much to our delight there was actually snow on top of the koppie.
When Aunty Dulcie and Uncle Rosie left Romanslaagte, they moved to King William's Town. They lived in a downstairs flat there in an old Victorian building. Aunty Dulcie lived on there alone after Uncle Rosie died. Both of them died in King Williams Town.
