- Having completed all the available schooling in Bizana she was sent to Kokstad on 1917_10_10 where she stayed with Mrs Snook who was related to the Snook family in Bizana. Mr Bell was the teacher at Kokstad School.

Trained at the Hugenot College in Wellington and then taught in Kokstad.
