    • Dad & Mom met through Uncle Ronald who was a probationer minister at Claremont Methodist Church.

Mom's parental home was almost across the road from Claremont Meth ("Ladock", Grove Ave, Claremont was her home – there are now flats built on the site called "Ladock"!) and they were very active members there. Grannie & Grandpa Curgenven (Mom's parents) opened their home to servicemen & women.

Although Dad & Mom had met the relationship only really blossomed a number of years later when Dad sent her a Christmas card (I think from Francistown – a lonely bachelor!) and they then started corresponding and the rest is history! They were married in Claremont Meth Church.

Yes Mom was a VAD (nurse) in the war.

      "Cogenwen" according to Peter Turner
