So. 1703-5, loaned as farmhand to the Governor 1706-10, later (1711 ?) burgher. ~ 10.5.1712 Lysbeth Vion of the C., em. sl. 8 children (the eldest, Christina, not in G.R.). (GMR 1703-5; CJ 1125: 98; CJ 1129: 43; Reg. of bapt. slave children under 10.11.1709; G.R. nr. 200.)
    • Stamvader: Jan or Johann Human(n), of Solingen (Germany). Arrived in the Cape in 1703. Soldier 1703-5; servant of the governor 1706-10; later burger.

      Married 10 May 1712 to Elizabeth Vion van de Kaap, born about 1692, she was a freed slave.

      They are listed with five children in the report of Governor de la Fonteine (1731), with the comment "«i»Heeft Niets«/i»" (have nothing)

      In 1733 he appears in the muster roll with his wife "«i»Jan Human van Salingen & Lysbeth Vion«/i»"
