"«i»Den 16 Dito (Julius) aen Stellenbosch een kindt ghedoopt door den Eer[w ] predicant N: Lioius, waer van vader is Harmen Jansen van Noordthorn, ende Belitie Fredriks, als getuijge stont Hans Jurgin Grimp ende Annetie Jan[s] ende ghenmaemt Hans Jurgien«/i» "
In the 1731 de la Fonteine report, is listed in Drakenstein, with four children and the comment: «i»"Kan van Sijn Vee en Plaats Bestaan, Dog Niet Sonder Schulden" «/i»(Can live from his cattle and farm, but not without debts). In the same document, a certain Fredrik Huppenaar is listed as "«i»Woond Als Knegt Bij Hans Jurgen Potgiete«/i»r" (living as a knecht (farm labourer) with Hans Jurgen Potgieter)
They are listed in the Stellenbosch District in 1733 in the Muster Roll.
