  • Notes
    • Maria was a slave, and possibly the child of Marij van Angola. The slave quarters in the Cape was known as the «i»slawe lozee«/i», so it is quite likely that Maria was a slave from the Lodge.

She is listed in the 1731 de la Fonteine report living alone in the Cape District, Maria Los, with the comment "«i»Is Vroedvrouw en kan Bestann«/i»" (is a midwife, and can support herself)

She is still living in the Cape District (de Caab) in the 1733 Muster Roll, the widow of her second husband Paul Heijns "«i»Maria Loasje wed Paul Heijns«/i»"
