Married on the Twenty-Ninth day of December Current by the Reverend THomas Liddell, One of the Ministers of Lady Glenovely's Chapel of Rest, Edinburgh."

This is recorded in the parish register as "Abraham Hamilton, Ropemaker, Dunfermline and Agnes Dallas his wife had a daughter born 11th August, baptised 27th named Christian; WitnessesThomas Dallas Corn Dealer and George Macpherson, Baker, both in Dunfermline. At her marriage to John Macpherson in 1831, she is listed at residing in No 3 Saunders St, Stockbridge...daughter of the late Abraham Hamilton, Rope Manufacurer in Dumfermline" She died in 1849 from "Accumulation of Water", a little over a year before her family emigrated to Natal.
