Notes - de Viliers and Pama refers to her as "Anna or Susanna" but in the Drakenstein register of births for her children, her name is invariably given as Susanna.
She was the daughter of Anne Martin du Puis and Jean du Puis, and sister of Anne Madeleine. She married 19th February 1702 to Estienne Bruére of Blois q.v. In 1695 she stood sponsor at Drakenstein to a child of David Senecal. In the Guisnes Church Register there are several references to the family of du Puis. In 1668 Daniel des Ruelles who came to the Cape was present at the marriage of Jean du Puy and Marie Facon. In 1679 Marie du Puy died and the entry of her death was witnessed by Suzanne and Anne du Puis.
