  PRIVATE «b»1851 Census«/b» finds George, a Custom House Officer, with wife, Eliza and newborn daughter Eliza, visiting the family of «b»Frederick J Perrin«/b» [born abt 1824 Strood, Kent, and also a Custom House Officer] in St Paul Parish, Shadwell, Middlesex Interestingly the «b»1851 Census«/b» also shows an «b»Eliza Ladbury,«/b» aged 50, possibly an aunt, living beside the «b»William Perrin«/b» (a sawyer) family in Whittaker Close, Chatham. The exact relationship has not yet been discovered. At the baptism of his daughter, Eliza Harriet in «b»1851«/b» his occupation is given as Custom's officer and their home in Chatham, Kent. Not yet located in 1861, or 1871 Census. Not found again until «b»1881«/b» in Mile End Old Town, London with his new wife, Susannah, and son aged 17 yrs. At this time George's occupation is listed as Customs Waterman and their address is 43 Smitley [Rd?]
