  PRIVATE The Birth certificate of her son, Andrew Tasker, gives her name The Death certificate of her son, Andrew, gives her surname as "Gilruth" Graveyard Inscription, Coupar Angus reads: 1802 Erected by JOHN TASKER in Coupar Angus in memory of his spouse ISABEL GILCHRIST who died December 1791 aged 31 years and also their children ANN who died the second JAMES the first and DAVID TASKER who died in October 1801 in the 21 year of his age DAIVID TASKER died 1856 ANN TASKER MCRONALD died 30 September 1888 Coupar Angus Parish register reads: «i»21 Dec 1790 Isabel Gillchrist wa intered aged 32 yrs.«/i» [Image in Gilchrist file] No birth certificate for Isabel has yet been found. However, a Banns was read in Bendochy on 14 Nov 1779 for the upcoming marriage of John Tasker and Isobel Gilcrist (note the spelling of the name). they were married in Coupar Angus in December. This Banns give us the clue that Isobel came from Bendochy, a mile or so across the river from Coupar Angus. Incidently it is recorded that they paid 3/6d (three shillings and six pence), presumably to have the Banns read. The Banns reads: «i»Nov 14 [1799] John Tasker in parish of coupar angus [capitalization as written] & Isobel Gil -crist [sic.] in this parish gave up their names to be proclaimed in order to marriage p 3/6«/i»
